DIY Frosted Muffin

When my sister-in-law Reva brought her mishloach manos last year in this really neat box, I knew I had to include it in this year’s ideas. I used it to package this DIY muffin frosting kit. Less headache as to how to package cream-cheese frosted muffins — and more fun for the recipient as they get to decorate their very own muffins.

You will need:

  • 3x6x1⅜-inch clear box (available from Center of Town, Lakewood)
  • mini muffins (I used the carrot muffin recipe from The Bais Yaakov Cookbook 2)
  • pastry bag
  • cream cheese frosting
  • 9x3½x7-inch Peekaboo Box (available from Center of Town, Lakewood)
  • 1½x9-inch label (designed by OMGdesign)
  1. Arrange three mini muffins in the box. Fill the pastry bag with frosting (you will get approximately 5 bags per recipe).
  2. Place items in the box as shown and affix the label.

Note: Pair this with another food or beverage to fulfill the obligation of having two minim.
