Crispy Tuna Sliders


Serves 4–6
- 2 cans tuna, drained
- 1 cup Sour Cream ’n Onion Nish Nosh Crackers, crushed
- 1 cup finely diced celery
- 1/2 cup finely diced red onion
- 2 eggs
- 2 heaping Tbsp mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- salt and black pepper, to taste
- cornflake crumbs, for coating
- 6 pretzel buns
- 1 1/2 cups chopped lettuce
- 1/2 cup pickle dip or relish
- sliced tomato
Place tuna, crushed crackers, celery, red onion, eggs, mayonnaise, sugar, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl; stir until well combined. Pour some cornflake crumbs into a shallow dish. With wet hands, form the tuna mixture into thick, flat patties and coat them in cornflake crumbs on both sides.
Spray the Betty Crocker liberally with cooking spray. Place the patties on the surface and spray the tops with cooking spray. Cook, covered, for 5–7 minutes, then flip. Cover the Betty Crocker and continue to cook for an additional 4–5 minutes, or until browned.
Remove the patties from the Betty Crocker and repeat with the remaining tuna mixture.
To assemble, cut the buns open and divide the lettuce among them. Add the tuna patties and top with pickle dip or relish and sliced tomatoes. Cover and cut in half. Serve warm.
