Thai Chili Broccoli
| November 23, 2016I’m not a fan of overly spicy food so sweet chili sauce is a good way to get a little bit of that Thai flavor in without overwhelming my palate. This sauce is very versatile and easy and can be used on many other vegetables.
INGREDIENTS
SERVES 6 – 8
- 1 head broccoli cut into florets or 32-oz (907-g) bag of frozen broccoli florets
1 Tbsp sesame oil ½ cup soy sauce ½ cup sweet Thai chili sauce ½ Tbsp dried minced garlic
PREPARATION
Heat the sesame oil in a large frying pan over medium heat and add the broccoli. Cover and let steam until bright green and can be pieced easily with a fork about 10 minutes. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over the broccoli. Cook uncovered for another 3 minutes.
Tip Using dried minced garlic works best because I find fresh garlic burns in this recipe
