A twist on the tuna classic!
- 4 pita breads
- garlic/truffle mayo or Caesar dressing, to taste
- fresh lettuce, shredded
- 1 1-lb (450-g) container prepared tuna salad
- dill pickle slices, pickled turnips, sliced tomatoes, red onions, to taste
Slice off the top of each pita bread. Spread some dressing of your choice inside each one.
Add lettuce and fill with tuna, pickles, and fresh vegetables. Wrap in parchment, sandwich bags, or foil. Enjoy!
Note: You can take this recipe up a notch by adding a slice of cheese and baking in the sandwich maker for 5 minutes, turning it into a tuna melt.
