YIELDS 6 BEEF SKEWERS

  • 1 lb (450 g) New York-style strip steak, cut into 1-inch (2½-cm) cubes
  • 3 Tbsp oil
Honey-Garlic Marinade
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Combine all marinade ingredients in a large ziplock bag. Shake well to combine.

Place the beef cubes in the bag with the marinade. Toss well to coat. Set aside for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add oil to the heated pan. Add the beef cubes and sear on all four sides until browned. Set aside in a pan or serving dish.

Thread 3–4 cubes onto each skewer. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
