How do you successfully swap ground chicken or turkey for ground beef in a recipe?
Sauce and seasonings make all the difference! I sometimes sub ground turkey for beef in tacos. The sauce keeps the turkey from being dry (I use the packets in the taco boxes), and the spices help ensure that no one notices the difference in flavor!
I love the mixed grind, which is a mix of chicken and ground beef. I use it in everything from meatballs to burgers and find that it leaves everything much moister. It still has enough of the meat flavor from the chopped meat part of the mix to please all my eaters.
I recently bought these pizza containers to send with my kids to school for their pizza lunches, and I couldn’t recommend them more! They’re a perfect size, leak-proof, easy to clean, and very lightweight. Definitely a good Amazon find!
What are popular snacks in your house that more people should know about?
My family likes whole wheat or spelt Landau’s pretzels and Trader Joe’s granola balls, which come in two flavors — chocolate chip and berry.
What’s the most popular baked good in your house on Shabbos?
Probably chocolate chip cookie cake, from the first Dining In cookbook — it usually disappears before it reaches the cake plate.
