Happening in…: Issue 966

The light of Torah is the brightest of all, and it never will dim

Happening in... Chicago

When a power outage hit Chicago’s West Rogers Park neighborhood this past week, a blanket of darkness enveloped the usually busy streets, and frightened residents took shelter indoors. But in the beis medrash of the Chicago Chassidishe Kollel, there was little darkness — and little fear. In a room illuminated by battery-powered lights, the learning continued with uninterrupted diligence.

Orah zu Torah. The light of Torah is the brightest of all, and it never will dim, regardless of how dark the world outside may seem.
