Happening in… Detroit

This past week, Hatzalah of Michigan ran a campaign to raise money to purchase their first ambulance. Two youngsters, Yisroel Meir Weissman and Elimelech Sender, both second-graders at Yeshiva Beth Yehudah of Detroit, decided to get in on the action.

The two boys purchased some kernels, borrowed a popcorn machine, and set up a homemade stand. Revenue from their popcorn sales reached the grand total of $47.50, which they promptly deposited with Rabbi Shimshy Jonas, captain of Hatzalah of Michigan.
