Wag B’omer heralds the beginning of chasunah season — and for Brooklyn residents, lots of traveling. Recent years have seen Brooklyn baalei simchah opting to make weddings in Lakewood so they can take advantage of the more affordable options there.
In an exciting development for mechutanim, (and their guests!), Ateres Matel Leah in Brooklyn opened its doors this week. Serviced by world-class caterers and vendors, the new hall is upper class but economically priced, and the inaugural chasunah was held on Lag B’omer.
