The lions of Lita and Poland sparring, but also connecting for eternity

 

Marienbad and Druksenik were favored destinations of many admorim, but some preferred Krenitz (Krynica). It was there that the Brisker Rav, Rav Velvel Soloveitchik (son of Rav Chaim), had the opportunity to meet and speak in learning with the gedolei Polin, and many of their exchanges live on in the beis medrash — the lions of Lita and Poland sparring, but also connecting for eternity.
