Chocolate Chip Cookie “Pizza”

A creative way to enjoy an old-time classic. Just whip up a batch of cookie dough and let your imagination run wild.

YIELDS ABOUT 36 “SLICES”

PIZZA

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) margarine
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 34 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 34 cups flour
  • 1 12-oz (340-g) pkg chocolate chips

 

TOPPINGS

  • mini marshmallows
  • chopped pretzels
  • nonpareils
  • chopped nuts
  • sprinkles
  • chopped Oreo cookies
  • mini chocolate pieces
  • melted chocolate for drizzling

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Beat margarine and shortening for 30 seconds. Add sugars baking soda and salt. Beat for 2 minutes scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally.

Add eggs corn syrup and vanilla. Beat in flour.

Divide cookie dough in half. Spread onto two lightly greased 12-inch (30-cm) pizza rounds or 3 9-inch (100-cm) round pans. Spread dough to half an inch of edge. Sprinkle with desired toppings and press down lightly to set.

Bake for 10 minutes. Cool in pan. You may melt your favorite chocolate bar and drizzle on top. Cut into wedges.
