So here’s the question — are you a purist or a free spirit?

What do you think when you see a slice of watermelon wrapped in Fruit by the Foot — Why add the extra sugar to a slice of watermelon? or Nice to add some fruit to the Fruit by the Foot?

Here we’re hopping on the national trend and giving you some fun at the same time!

The fruit/candy combination is really delicious! One of my testers said that it reminds her of Rita’s ices.

You will need:
  • watermelon
  • Fruit by the Foot
  • colored sugar
  • popsicle sticks
  • paper plates

Cut the watermelon in half.

Lay one half down on a cutting board and slice it horizontally and vertically so you get a number of watermelon “sticks.”

Cut a small slit in the bottom of the rind of each watermelon stick and insert a popsicle stick into each one.

Wrap Fruit by the Foot around each watermelon stick. Moisten the candy with a little water and dip into colored sugar.

Stick each popsicle stick through a plate. Enjoy!
