All A”board” Shalosh Seudos Package

At a recent simchah, I served onion board along with mini rolls in lieu of challah for Shalosh Seudos, and it was a huge hit. Wrapped in butcher paper with a package of lox, this creates a classy and very easy way to present a Shalosh Seudos package, “lox, stock, and barrel”!

You will need:

  • store-bought or homemade onion board
  • package of lox
  • kraft paper
  • ribbon
  • ferns (available from your local flower shop)
  • tag
  1. Cut the onion board to your desired size (I cut mine the size of the package of lox, which also helped keep it from bending), then wrap it in plastic wrap or shrink wrap.
  2. Wrap the kraft paper around the onion board and lox.
  3. Tie with a ribbon, threading two ferns through the ribbon, and insert a tag.
