Do we really need an explanation?
I think not.
Drink responsibly.
Simple Syrup
- 2 cups sugar
- 1¾ cups water
For the simple syrup: In a small pot set over high heat, place sugar and water. Stir to dissolve sugar and bring mixture to a boil. Allow to boil for 2 minutes, then remove pot from heat and set aside to cool. (This step can be done up to two weeks in advance).
Place amaretto, 1½ cups simple syrup, and lime juice into a large pitcher. Stir well to combine. Pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish each glass with a slice of lime. Serve immediately, sip, and enjoy!
Amaretto Sour
- 2 cups amaretto
- 1½ cup simple syrup
- 1 cup lime juice (from fresh limes!)
- lime slices, for garnish
Gin + (Grapefruit) Juice
- 2¼ cups dry gin
- 1¾ cups grapefruit juice (fresh is ideal, but I get it…)
- 1¼ cup lime juice (from fresh limes!)
- ¾ cup simple syrup
- 1 cup seltzer
- grapefruit wedges, for garnish
Pour gin, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and simple syrup into a large pitcher. Stir well to combine. Pour in seltzer, then pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish each glass with a wedge of grapefruit. Serve immediately, sip, and enjoy!
