| October 6, 2022A Jew must always remain fresh and vibrant in his avodas Hashem
Succos is in the fall season, when most trees, leaves, and vegetation begin to dry up. Yet we are commanded to take the arba minim, which must not be dry; in fact, if they’re dried out, they are rendered “yavesh” and unfit for the mitzvah. This symbolizes that a Jew must rise above his surroundings and always remain fresh and vibrant in his avodas Hashem.
