Pleasant Trip
| July 6, 2016I know most siblings argue and even fight at least at some point in their lives but I can’t imagine they do it as much as my children. Especially on vacation. From dawn to dawn in the car out of the car in the cabin out of the cabin in the boat out of the boat on the hike off the hike. “You always get to sit in the front it’s my turn!” “Moooommy it’s not fair — he gets to sit in the front on the way to the park this time and last time we went three years ago he also got to sit in the front.” And the names they call each other: freak stupid idiot. You’d think that’s how we speak in the house. Don’t the experts say that kids repeat what they hear in the house? How can I convince you that I have never in my life called somebody a freak? We went boating: “You don’t know how to paddle. I told you go to the right.” “Go left go left we have to go left. Okay fine I’m not doing anything and we’ll just turn in circles.” “I want to go back.” “You’re scared? Baby!”
