Well many schools don’t like when you come from an “interesting” home so when it came time to apply to high school in my innocence I applied to all the “regular” schools along with all my friends and went through the motions of going to interviews and sending in applications. As we all eagerly awaited our answers we were already planning all the fun things we would do together in high school. But alas that was not to be the case as I was literally turned down from every school I had applied to. It was an awful and humiliating time in my life and I took these rejections very personally. Why me? I asked myself every day. I must be inferior.
