Welcome to Our Museum!

museumWhere’s the Menorah that was lit every day in the Beis HaMikdash?

The historian Josephus who lived at the time of the destruction of the Second Beis HaMikdash writes that the Menorah was taken toRome. There’s actually an image of the Menorah engraved on the Arch of Titus inRome.

But then where was the Menorah taken? Though facts are scarce legends abound. Some say that it was taken to Constantinople when the Byzantine army defeated the Romans and looted the city ofRome. Others say it was sent back toJerusalem.
