Why War?

Countries go to war for one of two reasons: to improve their way of life or to protect their way of life. For example one country wants to conquer land or oil or fishing rights and the other has to protect itself.

A war is traditionally won when one side overpowers the other in battle. But there are no real winners in war — both sides lose a great deal — money homes and sadly many many lives.
