Underwater Treasure

Sunken treasure is usually sunken because it was on a ship that sank! So we can find the wrecks of these ships pretty much anywhere where ships have sailed. Trade routes such as those between the New World of South America and Spain were once full of ships carrying treasure. Sites of naval battles are other likely spots such as off the coast of England where the Spanish Armada (130 ships that tried to invade England in 1588) sank or along the east coast of the US where the US fought Britain in 1812.
