The Maccabees were from Modiin; where are you from? I was born in Beit She’an in the north and studied at a yeshivah in Nahariaya. After yeshivah I went to study industrial design.   Why industrial design? I’m artistic but I wanted to create something beautiful and useful not just art hanging on a wall. With industrial design I feel I’m doing my little part in tikkun olam repairing the world. What can you design — planes couches toasters bikes? Yes I can design any one of those and much more. In my final project for school I had to create an electrical violin. The research alone took three months; I knew very little about violins when I started. At the end I was able to create a beautiful functional instrument.
