Sleepaway Camp
Away from home but surrounded by friends counselors and fun things to do sleepaway camp is a popular summer vacation choice. Bring photos or something special from home in case you get homesick. Expect to see wide open green spaces and of course bunkhouses which are usually made out of wood and have 12–20 beds or bunk beds and the same number of (tiny) closets. It’s fun to feel like you’re in a house with all your friends.
Name Ashira 13
Vacation Plans I’m going back to Camp Maravah where I went last year. Before that I went to Camp Shira for three years. My counselors were really nice and took good care of us.
Favorite Part Seeing all the friends I don’t see the whole year and just being with them. Also the activities — my favorites are biking swimming and ropes.
Best Memory One day the whole camp went on a trip together. We went ice skating had a BBQ and went to a water park all on the same day!
