Planning A Picnic?
| August 4, 2010
So now you know what you’re going to eat on your picnic. But what else are you going to do? You may not want to eat as soon as you arrive at your picnic site. (After all that noshing on the way there who’s hungry anyway?!)
Here are some ideas for activities and games:
*Frisbee
*flying a kite (If you have enough wind that day adding a tail to your kite can add extra fun. Once we took a thin light multicolored plastic strip and used thin string to tie small bags of nosh along it. Then we tied the end of the strip to the end of our kite. You can be sure that all the kids in the park had fun running and jumping to catch the tail and catch a nosh in the process.)
*catch
*ball
*tag
*softball (softball mitts bat)
*sack races (Jump into an old pillow case or large potato sack and hop (and plop!) toward the finish line)
