| December 21, 2021"How can I take credit for any Torah I say over if it’s all coming from Hashem?"
"My Torah? It’s the Eibeshter’s Torah! The pasuk in Tehillim says ‘Kol haneshamah tehallel Ka,’ and Chazal say, not just every soul praises Hashem, but that ‘al kol neshimah v’neshimah…,’ that we must thank Hashem for each and every breath He gives us — so how can I take credit for any Torah I say over if it’s all coming from Hashem?”
—Stamford Rosh Yeshivah Rav Meir Hershkowitz, when another rosh yeshivah approached him at a recent alumni Melaveh Malkah and told him that in his yeshivah, they’re learning Rav Meir’s Torah.
