“Honesty is the best policy.”

Well that slogan is certainly true especially for a Torah Jew. Loving honesty and honest people is another one in our series on the 48 special traits essential for acquiring Torah.

The “stamp of Hashem” is truth we are told in the Talmud. The Torah is truth. If we want to study and understand the Torah we have to think truthfully speak truthfully and act truthfully. There is absolutely no room for dishonesty in a Yid’s life. We do not deceive others and we do not deceive ourselves.
