| April 7, 2021"That ‘favor’ set the path for my subsequent sixty years in chinuch”
As we head into Yemei Hasefirah, we embark on a daily focus of growth and tikkun hamiddos. Can you think of something someone did for you that stands out as an example of exemplary character?
“My first introduction to yeshivah chinuch was when I received the position to teach grade nine in Yeshivah Heichal HaTorah. I had no clue what to do and what not to do. This experience was going to identify my future and decide if it would be in chinuch or elsewhere. The rosh yeshivah, Rabbi Yechiel London a”h, noticed my trepidation and nervousness. He then asked me if I would ‘do him a favor’ and learn with him every morning before Shacharis, because that was when he prepared for his shiur. That ‘favor’ set the path for my subsequent sixty years in chinuch.”
