In Person: A Fish of My Own

I remember going to Teveria with my family and seeing fishermen along the Kinneret and thinking I wish I could try that too. At first I used to build my own fishing rods out of sticks I found lying around and fish off our back porch. Well obviously there’s no water there so I didn’t catch any fish. But when my parents saw how interested I was they took me to a fishing store in Teveria. The man in the store showed me how to use a real rod and hooks and the weights and floats that help you cast the line way out into the water. To read the rest of this story please buy this issue of Mishpacha or sign up for a weekly subscription
