Copycats

The alarm clock rang in Berel and Shmerel’s room. Naturally neither twin stirred. It took a lot more than an alarm clock to wake the likes of Berel and Shmerel. After it rang loudly for about ten minutes the door to their room flew open and in marched their mother looking extremely annoyed. “Get up!” she instructed loudly. “Your alarm clock’s woken up everyone in the household but you — and that includes the poor baby who was up half the night teething and really needs his sleep!” Berel opened one bleary eye before nodding off again.
