Ayala wavered for a moment as her brain vacillated between two a.m.! and Just do it and make her happy

This whole Torah thing, and Shabbos and kosher and looking for crumbs in pockets before Passover —I need to figure it out.

“You know you can’t run a campaign without Ayala’s approval.”

There were no tears running down her cheeks, but she felt a cloud of sadness blocking the radiant San Francisco sunshine.
