Buried Treasure!

It’s pretty simple to collect stamps or sugar sachets. For people who collect old gold coins part of the excitement is the way they do it. They buy a metal detector — a simple device that creates an electromagnetic field which picks up on the presence of any metal in the vicinity. They then ask permission from people who own old homes and castles to comb their garden and fields. When the metal detector gives a telltale beep the excitement begins. Often a dig in the dirt will yield a rusty set of keys or an old Coke can. But sometimes that beep is the first sign that buried treasure lies deep underground....
