All Kinds Of Kids: Awkward Koby
| March 2, 2011
Koby was smart enough in school even though his pencils always broke his books fell out of his schoolbag and once he bumped into the principal because he didn’t look where he was going. But outside was worse. Koby was all thumbs and toes. It was springtime and everyone was anxious to play baseball and ride their bicycles after a long snowy winter. But when Koby came to play he ruined every game. And he couldn’t ride a bike.
Eager Ezra tried to teach Koby to play baseball. Cheerful Kalman was sure he could show him how to ride a bicycle. But after Koby dropped every ball hit a tree and broke the bat and fell off the bicycle four times Ezra and Kalman gave up. But Koby never gave up. “This time I’ll get it right!” he insisted. But he rarely did.
“Tell him to go home!” said Cranky Kloni.
“That’s not nice” said Patient Paltiel. “Koby’s trying his best. He just doesn’t manage well.”
“Everyone can do something well” said Thoughtful Tanchum. “We just have to find out what Koby’s something is!”
