X-ray Machines
One thing all airports have in common is x-ray machines for your carry-on items. You put your belongings on a conveyer belt that carries each item through an x-ray machine. The security screener inspects the image of your bag and its contents on the monitor. If you’ve seen the monitor you might know it looks like a jumble of colorful shapes but security screeners are trained to know that each color represents objects in certain categories: organic inorganic and metal.
