| August 27, 2015
Kayla is frustrated. Her friend Brachi attends shiurim twice a week. Malka goes toPilates three times a week and always gets her nails done on Friday afternoons. Then there’s her friendMichal who’s the director of a school yet nevertheless manages to take her children to the park every day after school and keep a spotless house.Kayla on the other hand accomplishes none of this. A graphic designer who works from home she always feels so swamped by projects that there’s no time for outside interests. “My job and my family eat up every spare moment ” she complains. “My kids aren’t babies anymore so why can’t I fit in more of the activities I’d like to do? What am I doing wrong?” Time like summer fruit is a perishable commodity — once wasted impossible to get back. If like Kayla you find it slipping uncontrollably through your fingers maybe it’s time to take some time to step back and reevaluate exactly how you’re using that time and where you could make some changes. To read the rest of this story please buy this issue of Mishpacha or sign up for a weekly subscription
