Madame Chamberlaine: What a Day!

I heard screaming and I opened my eyes to see Shuli all dressed in her school uniform her hair brushed into a side ponytail shrieking something.
“What?! Be quiet and lemme go back to sleep” I mumbled.
Then it hit me that this was the first day of school!
I jumped and grabbed the alarm clock.
“SHULI! WHY DIDN’T YOU WAKE ME?! THE BUS WILL BE HERE IN FIVE MINUTES!”
“Four!” Shuli said as she ran to get her stuff.
I can’t remember ever getting ready so fast. Good thing I’d prepared my briefcase the night before. In four minutes flat I was flying out the door to catch up to Shuli to make the bus. My mother shoved two cookies into my hands as I raced past her and boy did I run.
