It was already Taanis Esther and Shuly and I jumped every time the doorbell rang.
Twelve o’clock one o’clock. We were getting edgy. Where was Madame Chamberlaine already?
“Don’t worry” my mother smiled. “She promised she would be here.”
Two o’clockthree o’clockfour o’clock.
“Ma this can’t be. I hope she didn’t miss her flight.”
My mother looked worried. “I certainly hope not.”
