Mishpacha Junior spoke with an experienced Bais Yaakov mechanechet/homeroom teacher to find out what attitude a student should bring with her at the start of the new school year.

Q: Whom do you consider a model student?

A: Treating teachers with respect is valued more than anything far more than good grades. For example no one likes having tests but a student can choose how to respond to test announcements. Some complain and yell others accept it and some may ask politely if the test can be postponed. A student who honors her teachers will be honored in return.
