Mishpacha Junior Talks to Your Favorite Writers
| June 27, 2012
Mishpacha Junior: Did someone tell you when you were young that they believed you’d be a writer? When did you start writing?Libby Lazewnik: No one had to tell me because I knew it myself. My father z”l was a wonderful writer though he never published a word. I guess you can say I have writing in my blood! Almost from the moment I could hold a pen I started writing. I remember asking family members to suggest a topic — and then I’d pick up my blue notebook and write a poem on that topic. (I wonder where that notebook is today? I’d love to see those old poems again!)
Chaim Finkelstein: My parents always encouraged my writing. My fifth-grade English teacher really made me feel like my writing was special. From that time on I wanted to be a writer.
