li Gerstner wears many hats. His day job as concert producer involves regular nine-to-five work hours, while at night he works on private projects, composing, producing, arranging, and mixing. Night work goes on till it’s time for Shacharis, when the musician finds himself going out to daven at dawn, before getting a few hours of sleep. “I started to do this during one overwhelmingly busy period, and then I kept it up,” Gerstner says of his unusual schedule, which — besides for Shaboos — he’s been maintaining for about eight years.
