Tasting the Sweetness

Oraysa learners gathered on Sunday to celebrate the completion of their first seder in Shas

Oraysa, which made its debut in the Torah world in January of 2020, is a system of learning that has exploded in popularity. By now its adherents number at least 40,000 learners in 110 cities across the globe.

The program attracts a wide variety of learners from all backgrounds, bound together by a common sugya and commitment that changed their lives. This simple idea — learning a new amud each day and reviewing the previous day’s on Sunday through Thursday, and a review of all two and a half blatt over Friday and Shabbos — has clearly resonated with the participants. They find the pace has given them balance between clarity and continuing, quality and quantity. The program has revolutionized learning for individuals, communities, and families worldwide.
