Hashem’s Palette

I admire women who can find time before Pesach to do home decorating improvements such as paint or reupholster the couch. During that hectic month picking up a new set of dish towels is about the most I can manage. But once the calendar begins the “count-up” to Shavuos I usually come down with a serious case of the home decorating bug. I don’t have to repaint every room or replace all the towels and linens. But there’s something about the colors of spring  those brilliant blue skies the dazzling palette of an exuberant garden - that makes me want to add a splash or two of color to my home too.

There’s one problem though. There are so many colors to choose from! So how is a woman to decide which ones will be right for her family and home?

When in doubt — and before you whip out your credit card — it pays to learn about how colors work together and how they work on our emotions. Fortunately you don’t have to go to university to study this; you just need to do a brief tour of the colors that Hashem put into our world.
