Have a look at these famous mistakes and pat yourself on your back for not making the headlines!   New Coke It seemed like a good idea at the time. Twenty-five years ago on April 23 1985 Coca-Cola executives stepped up to a podium and announced that the old Coke formula was being shelved in favor of something called “New Coke.” They promised the world “You’re gonna love it!” They were wrong. The result was perhaps the biggest marketing blunder of the century. Within weeks protests broke out thousands of calls were made to Coca-Cola headquarters and shoppers around the world poured New Coke down their drains. After three months the company acknowledged its mistake and reintroduced the classic formula which remains the top selling soda of our times.
