"A Yid knows that there will always be a time to sing once again"

What song would you sing to comfort an audience who feels broken, depressed? URI DAVIDI has an answer for that. He’d sing “WE WILL SING AGAIN,” an English song of his that offers hope for better times to come. “The inspiration for that song came from an article I read,” he says. “The pasuk in Tehillim states that the Yidden hung their harps on the willows by the rivers of Bavel, but why did they bring along their harps at all? After all, they knew they were going into galus and it seems kind of incongruous. The answer is that a Yid knows that there will always be a time to sing once again. This became the theme of the song, and it addresses our contemporary feelings of sadness and brokenness too. As rough as things are, we can all be confident that good times are coming. As we cry, we smile....”
