Jr. Tales: Akiva’s Family Tree

Munching the cookies Akiva said “Brain it’s time to start thinking. We have work to do.” And then it came to him! There were two really old pictures in his parents’ bedroom. One was his grandparents’ wedding picture and the other showed them surrounded by their five children. They looked so different in those days. Color pictures hadn’t been invented yet so everything was black and white. And they wore such old-fashioned clothing! Great-Zeide’s head was topped with an unusual hat-type of yarmulke and he wore suspenders and a strange-looking jacket.
