Molehills out of Mountains

Sefirah comes every year; there’s a reason why we’ve accumulated 14 years of unsorted photos

IN my head, Sefirah is a lull in the year. There are no simchas to attend, no major Yamim Tovim on the horizon, nice weather. Let’s just sit back, slow down and contemplate our lives É.  Let’s relax with a nice smoothie, maybe even together with a friend in some cozy café. Why not, aren’t we both bored this time of year?

Who knows, maybe we’ll even get to all those One day jobs during this quiet season, like sorting and developing photos from the last 14 years.

But the lull arrived, and somehow, I’m still looking for that splendid stress-free day. Now, 49 have passed ® where has my smoothie (and my bored friend) gone?

Seems it’s all just been in my head. Calm is a myth in a Jewish woman’s life. Sefirah comes every year; there’s a reason why we’ve accumulated 14 years of unsorted photos.

A Sneak Peek at a Real Sefirah Calendar.

Feel free to sticker it up to your liking; if you’ve made it to the top, you definitely deserve those stars.
