In Sorrow

There was little to say in the face of Divine judgment, but the message posted by Reb Yidel Brill, Lazer’s father, spoke volumes.

A nation reeling from a series of horrific tragedies endured one more last week, the tragic plane crash involving three yeshivah bochurim who’d gone from Eretz Yisrael to daven at the holy sites of the Ukraine.

When the light plane carrying the three bochurim, Amrom Fromowitz of Monsey, Hershy Weiss of London, and Lazer Brill of Williamsburg, went down over a private house near the village of Sheparivtsi, families, friends, and the wider Jewish community were also plunged into mourning.

There was little to say in the face of Divine judgment, but the message posted by Reb Yidel Brill, Lazer’s father, spoke volumes.

Boruch Dayan Emes. I thank You, heilege Basheffer, for giving me such a heilege child for 19 years. I have no tainehs on You, chas v’shalom, because You know better than I do, what is good for me….

May the families — and all of Klal Yisrael — finally taste true healing and comfort.
