Do I insist on an early bedtime?

My 5-year-old needs his sleep, but says I call him in for bed before all his friends. Do I insist on an early bedtime?

• It’s ridiculous how many mothers are neglecting the basics of what their kids need. And a good night’s sleep is a major need!
• A 5-year-old is easy to call in; go for it. Wait till your kid is 11.
• If you start raising your kids based on what other people are doing, you are lost.
• It’s a fight every night to get him in. That’s why I breathe a sigh of relief when the winter comes, even if I hate the cold.
