Once again, the world's attention is drawn to the Middle East, as Israel fights to defend its land and its people from terrorism on two fronts. What Israel has faced in the first few days of this new outbreak of war is a far greater threat than it faced in the Gulf War fifteen years ago, when Saddam Hussein launched Scud missiles from Iraq, most of which landed harmlessly. This time, more than one million residents are under direct threat from the rain of rockets fired from Lebanon and Gaza.
