Until not so long ago, children with clubfoot were unable to stand. I feel grateful that I was born in a time when there are treatments for clubfoot and that I can stand and walk and play.

MJ: So how did you have it treated?
Faigy: At first it was treated with casts. The doctors put on casts that push the foot into the correct position, changing the casts often to keep perfecting the position. Since babies grow very fast, I needed my cast changed every single week (and the first month twice a week.) I couldn’t have a regular bath for six full months.
